One of the hallmarks of Doody's Core Titles is the number of individuals who have contributed to its development - health science librarians, content specialists, the medical book distributors, and the staff of Doody Enterprises, Inc. Because of the cumulative efforts of over 200 individuals, we are able to produce a reliable, annual list of core titles in just over two months.

Content Specialists One of the unique features of the DCT Lists is the involvement of Content Specialists in choosing the core titles. Central to Doody's Review Service is a network of academically affiliated healthcare professionals serving as Editorial Review Group (ERG) Chairs in the specialties in which Doody Enterprises reviews books. ERG Chairs were invited to serve as Content Specialists, selecting titles in the specialty(ies) in which they serve as Chairs to represent the core titles for a given discipline. For DCT 2024, 91 individuals from 76 institutions served as Content Specialists, selecting the initial list of core titles.
