This method reminds learners of the components for analysis: method, assignment, assessment, results, interpretation, and extrapolation. Additional features include a pre-test and post-test, an interactive Journal Club, readings in research, "mini-study" figures and diagrams, new flaw-catching exercises, and review questions. The book is best used sequentially and includes an abundance of supportive resources to engage readers. As it is packed full of information, the book would benefit from a user guide for faculty and students, offering how to use the content and outlining the organization of the text. |

| This book is an excellent resource for learners and those evaluating health research. Considering the strong foundation of the previous edition, the added tools and resources represent timely additions and a systematic method for evaluation of research toward integration into evidence-based practice. The significance of sound analysis of research has been magnified with the COVID-19 pandemic. The seventh edition considers healthcare professionals' education and the importance of study and testing as well as the limitations of testing. |
