The book's purpose is to provide a comprehensive overview of the common research design and statistical methods used in epidemiology and outcomes research. It is intended to support graduate students in health-degree professions such as pharmacy and nursing in their understanding of the relationship between study design and statistical methods as tools for interpretation of analysis and to guide practice decisions. The book intends to prioritize clear explanations rather than complicated formulas to illustrate complex concepts relating to study design, statistical analyses, real-world evidence, and economic evaluations. Often these topics can become very abstract and difficult to follow and, therefore, a book that describes common research methodology and study design features with clarity and comprehensiveness is critically necessary.
