Description
This book consolidates all of the latest American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) clinical practice guidelines and policies. This is an excellent resource to have to ensure clinical practice follows the most recent recommendations and guidelines. |
Purpose
The book's purpose is to provide access to evidence-based pediatric clinical practice guidelines for clinicians to use in practice. By putting them all in one place, it helps clinicians more easily access the guidelines, contributing to the provision of evidence-based care. |
Audience
This book is written primarily for practitioners. However, it is also great for medical students, residents, and fellows. It meets the needs of its intended audience well. This book is published by a credible authority, the American Academy of Pediatrics. |
Features
This book brings together the most recently published clinical practice guidelines and policies in one place. The writing is clear and well organized. It covers only topics that have well established clinical practice guidelines and policies. Therefore, there are large swaths of medicine not covered, but it is not the purpose of this book to cover all of pediatric medicine. |
Assessment
This book is a great resource. This newest version is important as many clinical practice guidelines have recently changed. It is incredibly useful and correlates well with other books in the field. However, no other text serves the purpose this book does, and thus it is needed. |
