This is an excellent resource for graduate nursing students, particularly nurse practitioner students wishing to work in urgent care and emergency departments.
The purpose is to provide a book for both junior practitioners, including students and residents, and more experienced practitioners.
It is written for junior practitioners, students, and residents, as well as for more experienced practitioners.
The book covers a wide variety of topics, beginning with the epidemiology of wounds, the pathophysiology of wounds, and wound healing. The premier topic is wound anesthesia, with great illustrations of nerve blocks. A concise table compares topical, local, and nerve block anesthesia.
This is a great quick, concise review of wound management. It is a must for emergency departments, wound centers, acute care nurse practitioner students, and primary care clinics.
