This is the eighth edition of a thorough and well written compendium of the major terminology needed for writing psychological reports and conducting interviews. It is a complete update of the 2010 edition.
Purpose
The purpose is to present the language of American mental healthcare for those writing mental health evaluations and intakes, psychosocial narratives, testing-based reports, progress notes, managed care treatment plans, and closing summaries of treatments.
Audience
The thesaurus eases the workload for busy and newly minted clinicians. Graduate students will be most appreciative of this field guide during their training and clinicals. The terminology and wording enable them to be as objective as possible while maintaining an idiosyncratic presentation of the client. Dr. Zuckerman is an expert at compiling such a thorough and meaningful collection of terminology as well as the means to accurately write useful psychological reports.
