Purpose The text's purpose has not changed from the previous editions -- helping the reader learn how to conduct nursing research. Audience Various audiences would find this book particularly useful. Most notably, graduate level nursing students who must complete a master's thesis or capstone project, doctoral dissertation, or doctoral project which requires familiarity with nursing research. Health systems with a nursing research committee may find the text a useful resource, as may existing nursing researchers who may be looking for an up-to-date reference text. The book will also be useful for others in allied health disciplines as it provides tools to help planning and conducting research in general. Features Chapters move logically from foundational to more complex concepts. A brief introduction describing the intent or purpose begins each chapter.
