| The purpose is to provide a comprehensive review of illness, disease pathology, and clinical features of clinical features of childhood diseases. The book has been an outstanding reference for a number of years and this edition has been significantly updated and revised. The book certainly meets its objectives of providing a comprehensive review of all pediatric illnesses. |

| The book is written for everyone in the practice of pediatrics, from the most senior pediatrician to the most junior resident. It is also a great resource for nurses and allied health professionals. Earlier editions of this book were supervised by Dr. Abe Rudolph and his direction has been carried on in this edition by his son, Dr. Colin Rudolph. |

| This is a comprehensive review of all pediatric diseases divided into chapters related to systems such as the urinary system, circulatory system, and respiratory system, etc. Since Dr. Abraham Rudolph was a pediatric cardiologist, the book in its previous editions had a major focus on cardiovascular disease and this remains one of the book's strengths in this edition. It is well indexed and is easy to read. |

| This book remains one of the giants in pediatric information with outstanding authors and excellent text. It should be a part of every pediatric library. This new edition continues the high standards of previous editions and adds relevant new material, particularly in the areas of imaging and additional biological information which has become available since the previous edition. |
