These include clinicians, educators, and students depending on need and level of understanding. The book's format employs clearly defined titles and chapter-specific objectives. This new edition is needed due to the ever-changing healthcare environment and ongoing research into best practices in medicine. The book meets its objectives using figures, tables, case studies, and written protocols. Audience This book's audience is both seasoned healthcare professionals and students. For students just beginning their schooling, it may appear overwhelming due to size and content. This is a great resource for seasoned healthcare professionals such as clinical instructors. Multiple contributors with varied backgrounds and credentials contributed to this edition. Features The layout of the book is easy to follow. The table of contents has clearly defined headings with multiple associated chapters under each heading. Each chapter begins with educational objectives, subject matter text, tables, protocols or standards of practice, case studies, ending with a summary and multiple references.
