Purpose Purposes of this book are to clarify the confusion between conceptual models and theory and to provide an exhaustive compilation of the most up-to-date information about the various models and theories. Audience According to the author, this book is intended for all nurses and nursing students. It addresses nursing knowledge for research, administration, education, and practice. It is most suitable for graduate students, but it would be an excellent resource for undergraduates. The author is an internationally recognized leader in the area of conceptual models and nursing theory. Features The book is divided into four parts: Structure and Use of Nursing Knowledge, Analysis and Evaluation of Conceptual Models of Nursing, Analysis and Evaluation of Nursing Theories, and Nursing Knowledge in the 21st Century.
