Description
This primer on the basics of medical genetics delves into selected genetic diseases in all organ systems.
Purpose
The purpose is to serve as the basis for a medical genetics curriculum that provides an opportunity for healthcare students to integrate genetics knowledge, skills, and attitudes early in their education and training as well as to improve their understanding of genetics concepts in clinical medicine to ultimately improve clinical outcomes.
