This edition is a welcome update, with relevant and interesting cases of neuromuscular disease. Purpose The purpose of the book is to present teaching videos of neuromuscular disorders, with patient cases and discussions. The objective is clearly met, and this third edition updates the current diagnostic armamentarium and treatment options. Audience The primary audience for this video atlas is practitioners of neuromuscular medicine as well as trainees of all levels (students, resident, and fellows). The author is a worldly recognized expert in neuromuscular medicine and neuromuscular pathology, having received several awards in teaching and education. Features The book goes over cases of neuromuscular disorders, divided over most affected neuromuscular function: gait, cranial nerve-muscle and bulbar function, shoulder/hip girdle, limb function, pathological signs on exam, and patient symptoms. The uniqueness of this format lies in the access to video content of each patient case discussed. Assessment The paper quality is fantastic, the printed pictures and illustrations are in black and white, but the only version of the book and the videos are in color. This edition brings updates to diagnosis and treatment.
