It is intended primarily for residents with considerable background knowledge. The author is a staff physician in family medicine, making him a good source of information for the broad range of topics.
Features
The review book is broken down into chapters by specialty and further into subsections by disease. The explanations for each disease are organized by symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. The conversational style of the text is clear and easily understood. The tables, figures, and text are neatly arranged and in full color. However, there are several grammatical errors.
Assessment
This will be a good book for those seeking a rapid review of material they are already familiar with in preparation for boards.
