Description
| This fifth edition dermatology atlas continues the tradition of excellence set by the late Dr. Thomas Fitzpatrick. This new edition has even more clinical color photographs and includes up-to-date eruptions from biologic therapies. As always, the clinical discussions on presentation, epidemiology, treatment, and pathogenesis are superb. |
Purpose
| The purpose is to educate all physicians on common clinical dermatologic problems. Rare syndromes are not the focus of the book. If a nondermatologist is going to read only one book on dermatology, this is it! |
Audience
| The audience is all physicians and medical students. Everyone can learn something from reading it. |
Features
| The clinical synopses on the various skin diseases and the photographs are outstanding. The diseases are rated as to seriousness and commonness, a new feature since the last edition. The book is well organized and easy to use as a quick reference/refresher. Each section can be read in under a minute. |
Assessment
| This is really one of the best, if not the best, clinical dermatology handbooks available. Budding dermatologists must own and digest this book. |
