Purpose The main purpose is to provide a thorough yet concise, practical, current, and evidence-based book that covers the vast array of topics in obstetrics and gynecology with an emphasis on understanding disease pathophysiology, prevention, and treatment. The book aims to be an easily accessible resource for medical students, house officers, practicing physicians, and other healthcare professionals who are involved in providing comprehensive healthcare to women. These objectives are tremendously relevant to current practice in obstetrics and gynecology and this book has achieved them. Audience The book is meant as a practical guide for medical students, house officers, practicing obstetricians and gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals involved in women's health. The various authors are well versed in their particular areas of expertise.
